When can you hear a heartbeat?

I have an ultrasound feb 10th - I'll be about 8 weeks. Can a heartbeat be heard then?

It can be seen via ultrasound very early, like 6 wks. Heard by Doppler can sometimes be as late as 11-12 wks. Depends on babies location in the womb I think. Prayers!!

I had my first ultrasound today...I am 6w 3d and babies heart rate is 119bpm. So it can def be heard

I am 8w6d and my doctor still says it's too early. She said 11-12 weeks.

Saw heart beat at 5 weeks 5 days haven't heard it yet! Another sono on Monday! Maybe I'll hear it then?

I have heard that you can see it as early as 6 weeks and hear it as early as 8 weeks.
