Why do guys always make the wrong decision

Me and my roommate where talking about this today. When we are in the mood and want to have sex, we call up or text are guys asking if they want to come over making it clear that we are alone and the guys just don't get it! And i was just wondering why is that? And does this happen to anyone else?
