ER, do they always check to see if pregnant?

Question

Peed in a cup for the ER because i threw up and saw blood in my spit after
I broke or ripped something very minor so thats fine.
However, do they ALWAYS check to see if you are pregnant with the pee sample??

If they take a urine sample from a sexually matured female patient they will automatically test for pregnancy because they cannot give you certain meds or perform certain tests if you're pregnant.

They only test if you say say you could be pregnant, if you present with vomiting and dehydration, or if you are sexually active, not using protection, and they are about to use something that could harm a fetus.
I am a hospital nurse and my admits come from the ER. Rarely do they test. There are many other thing to be seen in urine and these days they must have reason to test so they can get paid for it by insurance, by you, or by writing it off because of non payment.
If positive they would say something to you.
Also, you tests are yours. You can just ask.👍

Every time I've gone to the ER or urgent care they have always tested me for pregnancy. Sometimes they tell me, sometimes they don't, but I always see it in my chart online afterwards.

Never told me i was or wasnt but i assumed they always tested?

Took a test yesterday, was a BFN also could be way too early to tell :/
