No linea nigra??

Question

I'm 18+1 weeks and still don't have a linea nigra (the line you get on your stomach). Is it normal to not get one?? I'm not really worried about it, just curious.

I started noticing one at about 12 weeks im as white as a ghost I thought everyone got one

I think it depends how dark your skin is. I'm really pale and highly doubt I'll get one I'm 25 weeks). But if you tan easier or have Asian or Latino or African American heritage in you, I think it's more common.

I've been pregnant 3 times and have never had one and actually none of the women in my family has. Not everyone gets one.

My last pregnancy I got one almost right away. This one I have only had one since 34 weeks and it is quite faint. My dr said last time that there are no real hard facts on it but that it is far more common with darker pigmented skin and I was like a tanning freak just before my first pregnancy. So at least for me that seems to match up.

I got a very faint with my first but none after that and I'm pregnant with baby 5. There is no need to worry if you don't get one.

It took me a while to get one, I am 38 weeks and I finally got one but it's really faint. I think it just depends on the person.
