To test or not to test 11dpo

Tomorrow will be 11 dpo and I'm wondering if I should test or wait

I have to start provera tomorrow according to doctor (says it won't hurt baby if I am preg and take it) but I'm thinking if I know I'm am before hand then I won't need it and if I'm not then it is what it but wondering if a test will show at only 11 dpo
