When did you buy your pram/big baby purchases?

When do you think is too early?

I'm going to go and look at stuff when I am about 16 weeks but I'm not sure if I should actually buy anything big at that point.

I don't live near any of the big stores though so were going to be driving out to look at stuff.

What do you all think?

Get it when you feel comfortable. A friend gave or sold us many larger items like crib and stroller before we were pregnant because they knew we were going to be trying soon. My husband was so excited about the pregnancy that he had the basics of the nursery put together by week 6. We bought our first new big item at 13 weeks, a car seat, because we caught a major sale.

I got my pram @ 16 weeks. Had every thing bought by 24weeks would have been earlier if it's wasn't for xmas Costs

I didn't buy anything until after my 20 week gender scan and I got a crib and nursery decor. Everything else I'm putting on my shower registry! Don't buy it if you don't have to or if family offers! My mom gave me a rocking chair randomly so you never know.

My family and my husband family have traditions. The aunts always buy the rocker and usually the parents buy the nursery furniture or at least the crib. We will also be having a shower so we won't have to buy much. Very thankful :) after all the money I've spent on everyone else's showers and babies it will be nice to receive in return for my generosity to all of them over the years.

I'm 21 weeks today and just ordered my very first baby item this past week (glider chair). It was only on sale for January. I've picked out the other big furniture items already but haven't bought them. I have to start thinking about the smaller baby registry items soon. I'm having my shower around 7 months so I'll have time to get whatever I need that wasn't gifted at the shower.

Thanks everyone :) I haven't bought anything yet, not even little things, so I'm just excited to get shopping.

We're not having a baby shower and have asked our parents to just give us money if they want to contribute to getting big things. Only because this is our first baby and we want to pick everything ourselves.

Was curious as to when everyone started buying big things. Our nursery room is sat there empty atm haha 😄

I'm almost 34 weeks, having my shower next Sunday, and people recently started purchasing since I only now shared my registry. My friend gave me one of her twins' crib (2.5 years old, perfect condition $500 crib for free - booyaaaa lol). It's at my MIL's house cause us Jews are crazy lol BUT everything else gets delivered here and so far I have random clothes, new and stuff people gave me from their babies, car seat, pack n play, and high chair - the stuff that won't be used until like 6 months is being stored at in-laws and parents. Wanting until after the shower to get my stroller cause no rush to spend a G-bone lol

Idk.. I don't see a necessity purchasing things before the 3rd trimester... It's no big deal. But I do wanna be ready by 36-37 weeks.

I got my buggy at 16 weeks though ordered it at 14 weeks. I'm going out to get everything after our 20 week scan as we are finding out what we're having!

I make sure I have everything by at least 32 weeks because my son was born at 38 weeks. This time the crib will be in my bedroom because we're on a waiting list to move in my co-op to a 3 bedroom from a 2 bedroom and until then the cribs going to be in my room so I need to move my bed and reorganize a bunch of stuff to fit the crib in. I know it'll fit because I've measured and everything already.
