Why does one pregnancy brabt test say yes and the other pregnancy brand say no?

Okay I decided to take a pregnancy test from two different brands. One being answer and the other first response. The answer one showed two lines but the lines seemed kind if off and the first response said no (it was a digital test). Now I'm feeling confused. I did drink a tall can of beer and drank half a bottle of wine before taking the pregnancy test. Would that give a false positive?

Why the fuck are you taking beer and wine to take a pregnancy test? Even if you aren't pregnant, you should assume you are until you know for sure. SMH. Dumb ass people.

Yeah, one is an ovulation test and the other is a pregnancy test...maybe a little too much wine 😉

Its an opk test that showed positive not a pregnancy test and thr opk test isnt even positive for ovulation so thats why u got 2 different answers one was opk the other is hpt

I would sleep it off and retest in the morning with fresh urine .....

I only took the other test because I wanted to get rid of it. Assuming it would come out negative like the first one I took earlier before I started drinking. I know I could of saved the test but I was feed up at that point and didn't want it in the house. I took another test the following day to be sure and it came out negative.

Well to clear this whole mess up I wasn't planning on taking a test that night. I was drinking that night to take the edge off. I was feeling frustrated because me and my hubby are trying to get pregnant but no luck do far. Everytime I took a test it always came out negative. I told my hubby I'm just going to stop and take a break. Earlier that day I took a test that said it was negative and that is before I started drinking. Later when I got home I started drinking and basically called it quits. I told my hubby I didn't want to see any more pregnant tests for awhile. So I went into the bathroom peed on it asuming it was going to be negative and then I noticed two lines but they seemed kind of off. And when I snapped the pic I took it on top of my ovulation box but it wasn't an ovulation test it was a pregnancy test. I retested the following day to be sure and it came out negative. So plz no more rude comments.

Even if it was a pregnancy test, the line is way off it looks like. Also, digitals aren't as sensitive sometimes.  Best bet, don't waste money on the digitals at first. But do buy better test.
