My boyfriend doesn't mind it at all. I always apologize for the blood but he looks at me like I'm silly. Having sex on your period is good for you! Its great for cramps and stress. however I have guy friends who won't touch a girl on her period. One of them actually described it like "making love with a wet sponge". 
Men's preference I guess.
