6 months post miscarriage... Heavy bleeding?

I miscarried in August 2014, it was early, around 7 weeks.  
I spotted some on and off the end of October and throughout November.. But I didn't Have a period until December 2014.  It wasn't really heavy, I cramped fairly bad, but it ended after about 5 days.

Now I just got my second period since the mc today, and MY CRAMPS WERE AWFUL. Literally curled up crying and have to take a norco for the pain to stop.  I was bleeding heavily and lost a couple of large peices of tissue (I would say about 3 inches long and the other about 1-2inches) 
The bleeding has slowed already and I'm not cramping as bad (just on a couple midol now)
But could this still be left over from my miscarriage??  I know 100% that I haven't been pregnant since then, but I'm wondering if it's leftover because the cramps were as bad as my mc cramps.

Anyone experience this, or know what's going on??

My periods have been very heavy and painful since my mc last year I hope your ok xx

My doctor told me my ultrasound was clear after my miscarriage (12 weeks gest) and I did not need a D&C. I never did get a period afterwards. 5 months later I delivered a placenta and intact amniotic sac. Maybe you need another d&c. Sometimes that happens. Wish you lots of luck!

Sorry for your loss first of all. Did you consider taking birth control for 2,3 months to regulate your hormones and period? I started taking BC right after my d&c and i got my period 28 days after with little cramping and moderate flow. 
I suggest you look into it because you can always stop it and TTC it wont affect your pregnancy.

Sorry for your loss, i miscarried in November and had D&C 2 weeks after, i didnt stop bleeding until 26th December, i had my first period on 20th January and really bad cramping and had large sized clot but doctor said its womb lining and very normal, painful though! Im starting TTC this month! Hope everything ok with you, good luck x
