Continue clomid or iui? Your thoughts?

I'm 22 years old, been ttc for a year and a half diagnosed with mild pcos. I have 50 day cycles, but they are pretty regular .  did 5 cycles of clomid, ovulated on 4 cycles at 100mg but still not pregnant. I'm so confused at this point on what to do. I've read that the lifetime limit to clomid is 6 cycles. I'm starting to feel that clomid isn't ganna work (i understand that clomid did what its supposed to do though). I talked to my dr and he said since i respond so well to clomid that he wants to do a few more cycles before moving to iui. I'm just scared of doing more cycles.
So what do u guys think? Should i stick with doing clomid or move on to iui ?
Also, my dr never mentioned me having other problems like endometriosis or fibroids. How are these diagnosed. Could the dr tell through ultrasound? Could i possibly have these?
Thanks.

I agree. Being so young and with the Clomid working it should work. I recently found out my DH has low testosterone so his swimmers are swimming so good. I'm taking Clomid also and he started Fertilaid for men to hopefully help him out. We also use Preseed or Conceive +

One of my closest friends just got pregnant after an IUI and Clomid cycle. She had 3 IUI and Clomid cycles prior to that and then was on Clomid without IUI for almost two year prior to that. She has endometriosis though so I am not sure if there is a cycle limit only depending on your diagnosis or what but she is very healthy and is currently 11 weeks pregnant. Maybe discuss with your doctor other options if you are concerned with having too many Clomid cycles? There are other options such as Femera and injectables.

Hi! ultrasound would help you to see fibroids possibly endometriosis. You can also have a hysteroscopy or an HSG. They're diagnostic tools to find out there's anything going on inside of your uterus. I had a hysteroscopy it is a little uncomfortable but it was tolerable. Also I am 24 and a lot of times doctors will push off doing things for you they would do for people that were older due to your age. But if you'd like to I would go ahead and insist  on the Iui  I. It really is just putting the sperm inside of your uterus. So it's not really something that you should have to hold off on maybe discuss it a little more with your doctor.

Yes.. I had an hsg .. The results from the test were great and the dr didnt mention any fib or endo. I think i'll push for iui next cycle..
