IUD, is it right for me?

I'm considering trying an IUD, can you ladies give me your advice and experience please? Can it be felt during foreplay or intercourse, and can it damage your reproductive health?

I have the Mirena. It didn't hurt when it was implanted. I got an ultrasound to make sure it was put in correctly. If not your doctor will fix it. You can have sex almost right away. You really shouldn't feel any pain. Maybe slight cramps since its a foreign object in your cervix. You will most likely experience brown like spotting. Also, it messing up your reproduction it mainly just depends on the person. Some people get pregnant right away, others don't, some can't. If you're really that worried about it, speak with your doctor about the effects on your reproduction.

I had mine in for 5 years and it was great.  I barely spotted when it was period time and my husband never felt it at all.  For me it was a great experience.  I've been off it since May and ttc since November.

I had Mirena for a year and a half and I loved it while I had it. My dr also did an ultrasound to check placement, I think that's what everyone does. I'm finding it to be a bit harder getting pregnant now than the first time around when I was on the pill. Only been about 3 months but the first time was right away. Seeing how this is my last I'll prob do the mirena again after. My husband didn't really feel anything during intercourse and I barely ever had a bleeding and when I did it was for like 2 days haha
