TTC after Mirena

I had my mirena removed on jan 26th because we are ttc. I know its only been 11 days, but im curious as to when i should start recording my cycles. 2 days after removal i started spotting pretty heavily, and for 4 days so i recorded that as a cycle just to have somewhere to start from. Was this a smart thing to do or should i start over during this months cycle? Im anxious to take a pregnancy test too...too soon?
