I got my flu vaccine and work as an ER nurse ... I have taken care of a ton of  people who tested positive and not once did I get the flu this year 😊 ... yet lol ... The vaccine is only 20% effective but it will help minimize symptoms if you get it!

​I also got my dtap vaccine since it helps pass immunity to the baby for pertussis - which can be life threatening for an infant ... And currently there is another outbreak in California (where I live) so all the more reason to get it!

The tdap vaccine is safe to take later in pregnancy. I got mine at 30 weeks. The flu shot is safe to take at any time during pregnancy. They recommend waiting until after you give birth to get an MMR vaccine.

If you aren't up to date on MMR and things like that, you can get them after delivery. Flu vacc is safe, but at this time of year unnecessary. TDap should be given in 3rd trimester at least 4 weeks before due date to avoid pertussis in your infant. 😄

I got the trap but no flu shot I get more sick when I do get it than if I just skip it...
