Hey, I'm Amanda, age 20, sexually active. Just got mirena iud the 27th, previously hadn't been using birth control. Since then been getting very severe cramping and nausea. Got my period on schedule, but it's unusually really light, with cramping and nausea like crazy yesterday. (First day of) Now it's nearly no blood on second day. All other signs of having period are gone. (Very unusual for me) My periods haven't ever caused me this much pain and nausea. I have ovarian cysts. Don't know how iud is suppose to effect first month, this normal? Has anyone else ever experienced this.
