I believe you can love two men at the same time, but you can't be IN love with both. I still talk to my first serious ex (we go to church together). I will love him until the day I die. He will always have a special place in my heart...but I'm not in love with him. I fall deeper in love with my husband every day.

I would never, in a million years, go back to my ex, because there is very good reason why we are not together anymore and I love my husband soo so much. But there's this little dark patch in my heart, that will always have a place for him. I just had a totally different kind of love with him. The kind you only get once in a lifetime. The kind that consumes you and you can't breathe without them. But that was so bad for me. He did consume me.. to the point where I wasn't me anymore. I was drowning in him and I stopped caring about myself.. But for a long time, I was still in love with him. Even after I moved halfway across the country and dated other people and eventually fell in love with my husband. It's been 5 years and that little patch still hasn't fully healed.
