Does anyone use the birth control called tri-sprintec? How has it worked for you?

I actually love tri Sprintec! Every body is different though! I've got no side effects and my period always starts on Wednesday on my break week! Love the consistency

I used tri-sprintec when I was in my teens to help control my acne and very VERY heavy cycles (I'm talking 2-3 overnight pads with tampons in a 4 hour time frame...the equivalent of Niagara falls). 😨

Anywho! It worked ok, but it made me feel miserable after a while. Very moody, which is totally not my personality. And I gained a lot of weight when I was on it: despite working out and taking the pill religiously. And then after about 8 months of taking it, my period was out of control; I bled for 2 weeks straight and gave up on it because I was frustrated.

In the last 9 months I started taking it again for birth control and as an added benefit, acne control (got to love adult acne...said no one...EVER). So far it's been great: no weight gain (if anything I'm losing weight), better acne control (especially cystic acne control), no migraines, not as heavy cycles like what I use to get as a teen. As far as sex drive goes? Meh, it's decreased a little but overall not bad....it's important to figure in too stress levels cause in the last 3 months up to now, it's been hectic and kind of stressful. I also have noticed that once again, my periods are irregular sort of like before. And I checked too thinking maybe it was spotting as I have been sexually active, but nope...no baby. Just stress and crazy hormones trying to sort themselves out. Again. 😒

Overall, I give it a 8 out of 10...I'm not saying it's a miracle pill by any means, it does have draw backs. Everyone's body response to birth control is different. But I'll take a month or two of hormone shifts over having a baby when neither of us is ready, any day.

I used it for 5 years. I had no physical side effects but I did notice my sex drive came back full force after I stopped taking it
