Preventing stretch marks?

When do you all plan on starting to use a product for stretch marks? I've heard good things about Bio Oil but want opinions :)

Bio oil or coconut oil and 2 litres of water a day is what I will Be doing.

My sisters used coconut oil as soon as they started itching. They both didn't get any stretch marks. I just started using it on my chest.

I don't think you can prevent it. It's genetic. I am the lucky one I don't get them. This is my 3rd baby. My mother didn't get them either.

I used bio oil. Didn't prevent stretch marks but I believe it prevented them from being a different color than my normal skin tone so they're pretty invisible. I believe this cause I also got stretch marks on my inner thigh during pregnancy but didn't know about it so I didn't use anything there and those ones were purplish red. Truth is, you can't prevent stretch marks. You'll get them if you're going to get them, but I think you can help make them less dramatic looking.
