Miscarriage advice...

So I am currently miscarrying my baby. I am so emotionally devestated about the entire thing. Since my body is holding on, I have a scheduled d&c. I was wondering for those who have also suffered a loss and had to go through this procedure, what should I expect for the healing? I understand everyone's experience can differ..... Was it a long process before being able to start ttc again?
