My fiancé and I are planning on getting married next year or when I your funds get better. Are money is really tight so it looks like it may take us longer to get married. I've been with him for over 6yrs and I'm tired of waiting. I've asked him would he be ok with us going the courthouse to get married first and then just have a wedding later on for our family. He says he thought about it but he said it wouldn't be the same! How would it be different?? Marriage is marriage no matter how you do it right? I really don't care for a big wedding. I'm fine with eloping! He says he's worried about what everyone else will think. Idk! Should I just wait? Has anyone had a courthouse wedding and regretted it?
