Insurance help!

Good morning!

I am 24 weeks and a hair stylist and I boothrent. Which means I work for myself and that I don't get paid maternity leave. I have heard that short term disability insurance may cover 6-8 weeks of a percentage of my income. Do any of you know how that works or have been in my situation and can help me in the direction I should go? Thanks!
