Birth control and depression

Has anyone else experienced depression with their birth control? I've been on the same and only pill for close to a year, I have not experienced any side effects. However I have noticed that my mood and demeanor is much more negative, down and depressed. I can only imagine it could have to do with my pill, anyone else experienced this?
