King • 22. Young. Taken. In love. No ring yet. Just trying to get double Mj. No time for babies. But enough time for no babies
I don't know much about it, but I'd like to know opinions

It is surgery. If you can it is best to avoid it and try to inform yourself so that you can have the birth YOU want. YOUR BODY YOUR CHOICE! It is also important for your baby(s) microbiome (bacteria in your body that keeps you healthy) to go through the vagina as it will pick up your healthy bacteria. I believe that it is overused and should only be used in a major emergency (that DOES NOT include your baby being breech).

I had a C-Section and it was just fine. The healing is sometimes hard for women but I was up and doing everything I had been doing before having my daughter just a couple days later. I'm not one to sit here and say that vaginal birth is best and I'm not one to say C section is best. What ever gets baby here safely and keeps mommy safe is the best option. I'm just happy I had the option of a C section to get my girly here safely. 😊

I'm not a fan, I don't do well with surgeries. So if its an emergency, or it looks like I can't do a vaginal birth, I'll be all over that!

My cousin had C-Sections for both her son and daughter. Her firstborn son was in breech position so they had to do the C-Section to get him out and they did with the second child a daughter I believe for safety reasons because it's hard to do a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) and I think the first and foremost thing besides getting the baby out is whether you rip the sutures out which is quite painful btw.All my info came from watching a live delivery and C-Section delivery while I did a rotation in nursing before I left nursing

Having a VBAC is not dangerous. There is less than 1% chance of you hemorrhaging.

I wouldn't do it unless it was required

I don't think many doctors will just do a c-section because you want one. I think it has to be medically necessary. Ideally they want you to just give birth. But I could be wrong?

Some information you might be interested in knowing is that getting an epidural multiplies your likelihood of needing a caesarean-section by 2.5

My sister had her first child natural and ripped a little but she didn't feel anything because of the epidural and had a pretty easy delivery. Her second child would not turn head down and was feet first so they scheduled a section. She was super nervous about the precidure and the recovery since her oldest was only 15 months when she had her second. She got a spinal tap and she said she didn't even feel it but did feel her epidural from her natural birth. Her recovery was tough but she said she would definitely do it again. She had no problems and the baby and her were both perfect during the whole thing!

I had a c-section only because it was pretty much a life or death situation for baby and because of that im happy I had one but at the same time I would never want one again and i really hope I won't need one with my next babies. It doesn't hurt but the recovery time is so much longer. I was in the hospital for 5 days and was sore for the next week. It's been over two weeks now and my incision is still very swollen and can be tender sometimes. I also was upset because I really wanted to be able to push. I wanted that experience and I didn't even get to try. But without it I probably wouldn't have my perfect little man.
