How do I ask my mom for the pill?

I'm 16 and I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years and we're both ready to have sex. We've done other stuff and we said we'd both be able to wait but I want to be on the pill well before anything happens. I've tried dropping hints but nothing has worked, any tips guys?!

You actually don't have to ask her.. If you have a doctors appointment coming up then just ask your doctor for the pill then. They can't tell anyone  because the law forbids it (in the US). But, if you want to ask your mom just to not have any secrets, then just be open with her and say you want to get on it. It doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have sex, it just means you'll be safe in case you do decide to have sex..

I told my mom I needed it for irregular periods & cramps which was actually part of the truth, & she came with me to the doctor to get it, just be honest or half honest about it, shes been there before im sure she would understand :)

Starting the pill too early can increase the risk for not being able to get pregnant when your older. But if you do want to, just ask her and say that you would like it. Or just make an appointment yourself.

Just say you hav bad cramps and you want to go on the pill. The pill will also help with your acne, period flow, and cramps.
