BD right after HSG?

Question

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on BD'ing after a HSG exam? I have read conflicting reports online and my dr didn't mention anything to me (and isn't in the office today). The person performing the exam just mentioned no tampons or douching for 2 days. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks!

My doctor said I was fine. And it looks like I ovulated the next day and may have very well made a little bean. My blood work will be back in the am

I didn't wait and got pregnant right away, however, miscarried. The dr says it might make it easier to get pregnant because it opens up your cervix. I did get pregnant right away, a month after miscarrying.

Can you call the office where you had it done? I don't recall having any restrictions, but I wasn't ovulating for a few days later so it wasn't a huge deal. I wouldn't want to wait either because I got my bfp right after my test.

They advise not to bd at all after your period before you hsg. If you do, most places want to see proof in blood work that you are not pregnant.

After the hsg you want to avoid sex, hot tubs.. Until you are done spotting or about three days.

Usually they give these instructions on the phone when you make the appointment.

I have my HSG on Monday. I'm wondering the same thing... Can we BD that night? I ovulate earlier and don't want to miss it!
