My mom always told me to tell her when I had sex. Of course I promised but I didn't think it would happen this soon. She lost hers at 18 and she expects the same out of me. All these years I've lead her to believe anything sexual is "gross" and doesn't appeal to me, little does she know it does. I had sex for the first time a week ago and I don't know if I should tell her or not, if so, how should I tell her. I would also like to bring up Birth controll to regulate my periods

I just randomly told my mom out of nowhere. She wasn't happy about it, but she wasn't mad either. She knows that I use protection and have only done it with one person. Just explain to your mom that you feel like you are ready to have sex and that you use protection.

Everyone has sexual desires. Everyone has to fulfill them. Tell your mom! If she told you to tell her when you do, she obviously wants to keep you protected. I lost my virginity at 15 as well, but I didn't tell my mom until I had a pregnancy scare. Don't be like that! Honestly I'm 16, my moms the same way, I was also on BC but for my period since I had heavy flows everyday for 3 whole months. I just kept losing mine a secret because knowing my mom she's expect me to have kept it until 18, and she won't trust me anymore after. but it depends if you know your mom well, if she bonds a lot with you, if she gets mad easy, it's on your judgement. It's really you're choice to tell, I mean my mom tells me to be open with her, which I am, but she uses a lot of things I say against me lol so I keep certain things away. 
If you do take BC its good to prevent  pregnancy but don't be too sure, always use a condom, missing a couple pills can mess up its affectiveness.

Just so you know, your mom doesn't think that you think its gross. She knows better than that lol. She sounds like the type that will be okay with it. She just doesn't want you getting pregnant or an std or anything. So tell her, you can get on BC. Buy condoms too so that you use both at the same time.

Tell her. I was scared to tell my parents when I lost mine because I was 14. My mom has only had 3 boyfriends her entire life and has only had sex with my dad. I was grounded for a while after I told them and they were a little bit more protective but after time settled down they eased up and me and her became closer and now I can be completely honest with her

Just be honest. 
The more you lie the more this is going to show ball. Just be honest and tell her you want to go on birth control. Everyone is different and you shouldn't feel ashamed for liking it or wanting to be ashamed. Its hard but it's better to be safe than sorry. Your mom should be proud of raising a responsible teen.
