Stressing out about Valentine's Day

So for this past year I've been on and off with this guy, we've been through hell and back about a million times. But we went from being together to being just strictly sex a few times, so I never know what is going on. But like he wants to go out for Valentine's Day tomorrow, but I just don't know what we should do because we aren't official and I don't want to make it awkward but I'm literally so heartbroken
