Do you tip your piercer?

I went to my local tattoo and piercing parlor the other day to get my nose pierced. I asked a couple of other friends who went to the same place and got the same thing done if they tipped the piercer. They didn't but I felt a little bad not doing it. Should I be tipping them? If so how much? I don't want to be the weird one that tips when no one else does, but I also don't want to be rude.

You should always tip anyone who performs a service {i.e. tattooists, hair stylists, nail techs, waiters, etc.} :)

Tipping is not a big thing in Australia at all. Except occasionally at a fancy restaurant but that's it. Wages here cover anything a tip would.

I don't have any piercings, but I always tip my tattoo artist at least 20%.

I usually tip like $5 or $10, just depends on what you get pierced. More difficult area would be a higher tip. Nose piercing isn't too hard though

Yes! It's tattoo shop etiquette- standard is 20%, just like a tattoo ☺️

You can tip anyone if you want to. I've never heard of the peircer. I never have,  but I don't pay them either if they do a sorry job.  I'm just that kind of person.
