Weird symptoms after IUD insertion?

I've had some spotting after my IUD insertion a few weeks ago and now my nipples are incredibly sore and tender. I have been having sporadic cramping as well (though pretty mild). I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar side effects!

I had insane PMS symptoms that mirrored pregnancy symptoms for 3 months after I had my mire a put in. I went through so many  pregnancy   tests. Haha just take care of yourself while your body is adjusting and drink lots of fluids and good food. It's an adjustment for sure.

I would also like to add that I got the Skyla IUD and I had irregular bleeding/cramping on and off for around two months after insertion, but since then everything has been fine. My period is extremely light and I don't experience spotting anymore now that my body has adjusted to it. Be patient.

Sporadic bleeding is extremely common in the first few weeks after an IUD insertion. This may resolve itself within a few weeks or a few months, but it will go away eventually. Secondly, breast/nipple tenderness could just be a result of the introduction of new hormones in your body, assuming you have a hormonal IUD. Cramping is also normal; it should subside within a few days, but it may pop up here and there for the next few months. The first few months with an IUD are always a little hooky, but once your body has had time to adjust, things should go much smoother.
