Does delivering the placenta hurt as much as giving birth?

I've heard that it does. What does delivering the placenta entail?

Don't even remember it coming out with either of my pregnancies. With that baby in your arms, Ryan Gossling could be hoola-hooping naked right next to you and you wouldn't notice....

It's a small contraction, you give a little push and out it comes. It feels like a massive blob of a booger coming out of your vagina (there's just no other way to describe it!). Super weird feeling but didn't hurt for me.

Felt it, didn't really hurt. Strange sensation really. But I was so wrapped up in holding my baby that it just didn't really register.

Absolutely not! Mine just fell out, I didn't even know it. I pushed my baby out and the next contraction the doctor said ok here's the placenta and there it was haha!

Not even close! One small push and it's out. No big deal at all. You will still feel a bit of oressure prior to it coming out, but it's nowhere close

The first time around it only hurt because mine wouldn't detach and so when they were kneading my belly that part hurt.

With my first it was easy nothing to it my second on the other hand the placenta didn't deliver it broke into pieces the Dr literally had to reach inside my uterus and pull it out that hurt like hell! I almost had to have emergency surgery to remove it but luckily dr ended up being able to pull it out

It basically slid out for me, felt weird. What really hurts and when they do the fundal massage to help your uterus contract.

With your baby in your arms, it doesn't even seem like it happens. They told me to push, I did and they took it out and showed me. It's huge! But made out of squishy materials unlike your baby so usually it shouldn't hurt.
