Why does marriage feel so lonely all the time...? Where did it shift from us always talking and cuddling, to us going to bed at separate times, and barely speaking... I don't know... Up crying right now and just wish it would go back to how it was...

Marriage doesn't have to feel like that. Talk to your partner and a counselor about why it feels that way now,so you can correct it and be happy again.

I've been living with my SO for 4 years (married for one) and we still go to bed at the same time, and cuddle a bit before falling asleep. Our compromise was that we would have the t.v. on until he fell asleep (I can't sleep with the t.v. on) but it's worth it for the time spent together! My husband plays plenty of video games (he's playing as I type this) but we compromise and sacrifice and I can't complain - I'm incredibly happy actually.  He's still as loving and sweet as the day we started dating, and we have a date night every other week at least. Talk to him and work something out - marriage doesn't have to be the way you described.

I don't think it's marriage that feels like this it's individuals relationships whether married or not. You guys need to talk and save your marriage before too many thing are left unsaid and there is no fixing it

My SO and I have lived together a little over 3 years and just got married a year ago. Of course we have our arguments but we never go to bed alone. When he wants to go to bed I always go lay with him and vise versa. He plays his video games while I read or clean but recently I started playing with him and it's fun. I hope we never get out of the habit or going to bed together and everything. If you're having trouble, I would just talk to your SO and let him know how you feel and what you're thinking. Hope it gets better for ya

This happens married or not. We've been together 4 yrs not married but living together and I started going to bed much earlier than he does. I used to stay up as late as he did but soon got tired of that so I made him compromise with me lol he tucks me in each night and lays with me and cuddles for at least 5 min before going back upstairs to watch tv. And if I can't fall asleep I'll text him while in bed until I'm tired enough. It's worked for us well. As far as talking to each other we talk all the time but I'm more the talker than he is. I have to get it out of him. It's all in how you approach him and when you approach him. I try not to approach him with certain topics right when he comes home from work. I give him at least 30 min or more depending on the day he's had and I don't approach him with stuff before bedtime either.
