Going to be a m ilitary girlfriend

So my boyfriend of a year just told me today he was going to see the recruitment agency tomorrow. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love him and we've already talked about marriage. But 4 years apart seems hard. The longest we've ever been separated was 3 days when I was out of state. Can any other ladies give opinions or girls who have done this before. Is it wrong that I feel mad at him for doing this instead of a minimum wage job? Is it wrong to get married before he goes in. I'm going to turn 19 in 6 months and he's turning 19 in may. I know a lot could change during that time but that's not what I want to hear and that's not the point. I'm going to do this with him and be by his side. But I want to know how others got through this and maybe have some helpful insight. I'm already struggling with the though.
