How many prunes a day do you eat?

Did anyone figure out what is the right balance between prenatal vitamins and ... prunes? My stomach is suffering

I tried eating prunes but was gagging them down. Then I realized they didn't have THAT much fiber in them (at least not what I got) so I started eating blackberries and raspberries every day and have been regular ever since.  If I'm desperate I will put a tablespoon of psyllium in a glass of juice, but the prune juice in a smoothie sounds like a great option.

I ate prunes until my midwife told me to drink prune juice instead. Prunes need to be reconstituted in the body and can make constipation worse. I've been making smoothies with prune juice every morning and it's worked miracles. I'd also recommend integrating a probiotic into your diet.  Good luck!

I started eating kashi cereal with 10g of fiber, colace in the am and pm, lots of water, and at the advice of the doctor did a glycerin suppository to get things moving and then told to continue colace etc once I had that first relief. Then, even though coffee was making my stomach upset, I have had a mocha or vanilla latte with one shot of espresso and that has been the real ticket- as long as it's not straight coffee it hasn't bothered me as much, and has helped me go to the bathroom shortly after every time.

It depends on the person and your body try 3 a day and see f that helps and increase or decrease from there. Make sure you are staying well hydrated as well. That can affect bowel and cause constipation too.
