How did you realize you were pregnant?

I'm not sure if I'm pregnant. I'm on birth control (pill form that I take the way you are required) and I have had a period, or at least what seems like one. It lasted 2-3 days. But today I've been experiencing a pressure feeling in my lower stomach and a little nausea. I took a test about a month ago and it came out negative, but it keeps happening so I was wondering if I could still be pregnant? Or if it's just all in my head? Or maybe even some prolonged pms symptoms? Can anyone give me some answers?

My symptoms were a little odd. My husband and I tried 8 years for a baby so when I started getting emotional I took a test. Nothing. The next month I wanted to be alone, even with friends, I felt overwhelmed and couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong so I took another test. Low and behold I was finally pregnant. She just turned 1. :)

If you're sexually active, you should always assume pregnancy is possible, even if you're on birth control; nothing is 100 percent effective except abstinence.

My period comes like CLOCK WORK. The day that it's late.. I mean even a day or two I would no immediately

Most likely it is all in your head. However if you are really concerned taking a test is a cheap, easy way to relieve your fears.

I wasnt late or anytjing i just had a feeling when i took the test. It was the day the ap saod my period was soppose to start. It was typically within a day correct. But most of the time it was right on. 
I was at wm the day before my period was due.... i just had a feeling so i bought clearblue digital test. Took jt the next morning (the day it was soppse to start) and it said preg.
For about a month i had been emotional and moody. Breasts deems slightly bigger and tender.  
Now im between 6and7wks and nausious  morning sickness. Very tender breasts. Very emotional.

It sounds like you're just worrying so much you think you have these symptoms, if it helps the only symptom I had for the first 9 weeks was tiredness. So take another test but don't worry I think you will be fine

How long have you been on birth control? Have you recently switched your brand?  Some have higher levels of hormones and can give you some pregnancy-like symptoms (nausea, mood swings, etc) as well as lighter periods. I often went months without having periods at all when I was on the pill. But you can always take another test!

Yea, I'll probably take another test, the only reason I was asking is because a cousin-in-law of mine said she got pregnant on bc. Maybe I'm just hormonal and thinking I need a baby. But my husband and I aren't ready for that yet.

If you take your bc the way you're supposed to, chances are that you're not pregnant. But if you want that peace of mind take another test.
