Anyone have the NIPT (genetic test)?

I'm scheduled this week and interested in hearing about others experiences. Also, were you able to get gender results as well?

How far along are you? And from my experience, my nurse asked me various questions. Filled out a form then sent me to the lab to draw 1 vial of blood. I was in and out of there in 30 mins. The results will take between 2-3 weeks. So I hope it was as easy for you as it was for me. Goodluck!!!

It is important to get gender as part of the test even if you don't want to know. Gender guarantees that the test did find your baby's DNA. :) just don't let them tell you the gender result if you are keeping the surprise.

I just got the genetic testing done through progenity. It took about 2 weeks to come back. We just got the results today and everything is normal and that we are having another boy! :-). I've heard that it can be really expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it, but to me the peace of mind is worth it!

I had the genetics testing done at 11 weeks and we haven't heard anything back so all is well😊 I go for the second part on Wdnesday.
