Studies say it takes 2 years to completely know someone. Based off of experience I think that's true. I personally think you should wait at least a year to get engaged but would recommend waiting even longer. If you feel you want to spend your entire life with someone why does it matter when you get married? What's the rush?

I got engaged one year exactly after our first date. But then we waited 14 months for the marriage (it is this weekend!!) :)

Better safe then sorry and wait a few yrs, I've heard 3yrs is the average to be dating before proposing. My husband took 6 to propose. I wasn't in any rush.

He proposed after 6 months of dating and we were married 11 months after that. BUT we were very close friends for 8 years prior to becoming romantic so we def knew each other well enough.

What's the rush? That's a big commitment so not something you rush into in my opinion. The fact that you are unsure is a pretty solid sign you should wait. Get to know him more and just enjoy dating :)
