I just hate when people name their animals after humans, but to each their own! A friend has an in law that name her cat Sophia! My friends daughter is name Sophia.

My name is Callie and I've met people with the name and animals with the name, from a horse to a cat. I don't think it really matters unless they are really really out there.

All my pets have "human" names. The kids give them food nicknames usually, which is fine,  but I feel this creature deserves dignity.

They often protray personality traits associated with the names given, like humans. Pretty interesting.
