4:45 am on the second of February woke up to contractions. They were coming every 8-10 minutes. I had a doctors appointment that morning at 8:45, where they checked my dilation. I was 2 cm dilated, 80% effaced. The doctor said it was "nothing special" and I was probably not in labor. So I went home. By that point my contractions were coming every 6 minutes, but the clinic told me I should wait until they're every 5. I went out with my mom around 2 to pick up some last minute things. Contractions were coming every five minutes at that point. 5 o'clock I was admitted to the hospital. I labored in the tub until 8 and I was dilated to a 4. Once I got to 20 hours, I was done with the pain haha, I got the epidural. It helped up until they broke my water and her head was pressed up against my tail bone! They continued to give me iv medication as well as extra doses of epidural. At about 2 am on the third I started pushing and at 6:41 am my little Rose was born! I did get stitches in the end, but they're on their way to healing! It was very difficult for me to push properly, but I would do it all over again to have my precious baby girl!
