Are you protected greatly still on placebo week?

Question

I just switched pills this month and I only ever used the one with 28 active pills. The new one I'm switching to is orysthia. It has a placebo week which I'm not used to. Am o still protected that week? And do I need a back  when I switch pills? Some say not some say just 7 days since I already have hormones in my body.

Just as long as you the pills before and after your placebo week. In other words, no more than a 7 day break from being on active pills.

I was switching from pills to barrier methods, while tracking bbt.bi researched and researched and that is the answer I found.

Initially I assumed I would be safe the week of placebos of my very last pack. Only if you start a new one

I never used a back up when switching pills or during my placebo week. The dr never said I had to. And they switched me often.
