What could of caused my chemical miscarriage?

Well today I found out I had a chemical miscarriage this was my first time getting pregnant. I'm curious on what caused it. Could it have been because I stayed over at my boyfriends for 2 days and the whole house smells like smoke. Everyone there smokes all kinds of things like cigarettes, marijuana, and ecigs with nicotine. It would make my stomach hurt but did it cause it? If not what did?

25% of pregnancies end in loss and 15% of those are chemicals. Chromosomes didn't mix right when implantation happened, that's all. If you have 3 or more losses, I suggest getting bloodwork done and having your progesterone checked but it's completely out of your hands and it's no ones fault.

Chemicals are caused when your body detects abnormalities with the sperm and egg, your body knows something is wrong and does its job. Hope this helps xxx

I had an ectopic pregnancy 3 years ago, and a chemical miscarriage last December, I feel your pain and confusion, I asked so many times if there was something I did wrong or could have done differently, and knowing now how common miscarriages are makes me feel better. Good luck :)

Nothing causes it, just that the baby wouldn't have been healthy and the body repels it. Tho you shouldn't be in an environment like that.

This is going to sound weird...I'm actually thankful i had a miscarriage at 9weeks...other wise my baby would have had somthing very wrong with it...i feel like my body was protecting my baby...this way my baby can meet me in heaven and be perfect ina place without sin...that sounds a little weird, but do you get what i mean? I have a perfectly wonderful son that is two so i think i would feel different ofi didn't already know what a Normal pregnancy was like..ya know?
