Substitute with formula?

Anyone been pumping and substituting with formula as well? How do you substitute with formula while still pumping? Do you have to have a specific type of formula to sub with?

I was for the first week while I was waiting for my milk to increase. I would give her what I could pump, and then give her formula. After pumping every three hours around the clock my milk is enough for now that I don't need to supplement.

I have been supplementing with similac advanced formula since that was what they gave me in the hospital. I just feed my girl whatever milk I have pumped and then if she is still hungry, I'll give her some of the formula. She won't latch on so right now I'm not actually able to breastfeed.
