Does your SO push you away?

Question

My SO seems to always emotionally push me away every time he has a bad day/is having family problems. I have consistently told him that I am always here for him and that I am on his side. I don't like to see him hurting or in a bad mood but I don't know what to do when he completely shuts down on me. 
I try to give him space, and do nice things for him, but it never seems like it is enough for him.

Advice please?!?

This is a tough one. My boyfriend and I have had the same issues. I've opened up and told him everything, things I'd never dreamt of telling another soul. Then when I ask him to share something, or there's something I'm curious about, he just shuts off. When he first did it I completely lost it. Since then he's agreed to be more open, but it never happens. 
I can't really give you advice on this one... sometimes giving them time does nothing. I've told my man so many times that he can tell me when he's ready but he never does. It's such a frustrating thing because I honestly feel as though it affects our overall communication. 
Hope you figure it out. Maybe even try just sitting down with him and being completely honest with him about it and how it makes you feel. Thinking of doing this with my man tomorrow.

I need space when I have a bad day, some people need some alone time to decompress. He's not pushing you away your just not seeing that he needs some 'me time' to recompose himself when he gets home.

Oh yes I have the same ... I just give it time .. I just ask once...  if and when hes ready to tell me .. im there ... the key is never to force the issue thats when it turns into bigger things.
