Is it bad that I wish this?

Lets start off with this if you are anti gay please stop reading now. Ok now to the question is it bad that I am hopin for a homosexual son because my husband is so close minded? He says that if we have a girl that was gay he wouldn't mind but he won't "put up with that shit" if it's a boy. My opinion is love who you want and I have no right to tell who you can or cannot love.

I definitely wouldn't wish that on a son just because you want the father to change. Yea, it might work but it also might not. You could be wishing a terrible life on you're son. Imagine how hard it would be for the poor kid if his father hated him or if he felt like he couldn't be himself do fear of his father hating him. I don't think that that's a life that any mother would want for her child 😕

You should not wish for your son to become that way its a sin and an abomination to God. But if it happens your Husband should love him through it. Love covers a multitude of sins.

I think you should just hope for a happy, healthy child, however they arrive. There are other ways to help your husband with his closemindedness.

It's not good in my opinion. When I think of gays I think of the freedoms they had to fight for and the hate they still receive. I remember the Matthew Shepard case and think of people beaten and labeled 'freaks'. Understand that people who still promote this behavior will most likely raise their kids this way too. I personally would never wish my child to be bullied in any way like I was or others have been. It's very selfish to want this outcome for the reasons you have.

No its not bad, but I wouldn't necessarily wish that if I were you. People are always going to have their opinions you know, whether they're blatantly rude and obnoxious or not ..and whether we want to believe it or not everyone is entitled to their own opinions. So, my point is ... although what your husband thinks is rude .. he's entitled to feel that way but trying to make him see differently by hoping to birth an homosexual son will not make him see the situation the way you do. I wouldn't simply because it's hard enough for a man to be gay in this world ... having a parent who doesn't agree with who you are is disheartening and can hurt the poor boy before he's even able to admit who he is..if that's who he was. Find other ways to make your SO see things your way.
