We both have talked about it. I'm allowed to look through his stuff and he's allowed to look through mine. 
After being together for 13 years, there's nothing to hide. We really don't normally search thru everything, but if he is playing on my phone or tablet and someone messages me, he'll let them know it's not me and I will talk to them in a min, etc

I'll occasionally go through his phone / Facebook but he's sitting right next to me and I'm not LOOKING for anything. my dearest is a tattoo artist, so I'm usually looking at his wall because he has/knows a lot of other modifiers and they post some pretty neat stuff. But we do have the same passwords, that way nothing is really being hidden.

I go through my husband's phone.
Before we got married we had a problem with texting a girl he said he didn't want to talk to anymore (totally on his own, I didn't care either way) and he was deleting the messages.
But since I go through his, he has the right to go through mine whenever he wants.

I look through his phone occasionally. Not to see if he's up to something just because I'm curious. He has a good friend who is very rude about me and will say really upsetting things about me to my fiancé. Normally, I just go through the messages between him and his friend. 
He, however, goes through my phone hoping to find something. I've caught him on numerous occasions looking through text messages, my Instagram, even the posts I participated in on Glow! He's even said he just wants to make sure I'm not "up to anything suspicious". I have nothing to hide but this drives me insane. I live with him and two other roommates and I don't get a lot of privacy. I feel like my phone is the one thing I have that is just mine and I'm constantly having to rip it from his hands.

I looked through his phone, i got suspicious of this one girl I knew from school. She left the school before all of this happened but i knew her friends who i called my friends also. I told him I didn't really want him talking to her everyday if that's ok. He through a fit about it. I talked to one of my friends about the whole thing and she told me "that's kinda good you told him to stop", "why's that" I asked her. She told me "she said if you weren't dating him, she would be dating him". I immediately told him and he now understood why I was worried
