How long do you think a baby should be breastfed? Or if ever?

3 years for each baby. That's how I do it.

If you truly let a child self wean, they tend to do so between the ages of 2.5-3.5. I think you should continue to breastfeed until your child self weans

Until mom & baby are ready to stop. I breastfed my first until 18 months when we stopped because of nursing aversion & drying up from this pregnancy but I would have gone longer if we could. The next I will go as long as is comfortable for the both of us.

I plan on stopping before my child has teeth! Definitely not more than a year. Start cutting back as I introduce foods. That's my plan.

I breastfed for 2 years and half :) I loved it and weaning was not so bad. Will defenetly do it again!!

Both of my children self weaned around 13-14 months... They got to busy to sit downed to nurse.... I have a friend who is nursing her 3 year old and her 1 year old...   Just have to find what's right for you and your child...

I was only able to breast feed for about four days with my daughter. I think breast feeding is a good idea until your child decides they aren't interested anymore :) if it hits school level, then I think it's time to step in and wean your child from it, but for the most part, I believe in doing it until your child doesn't want to anymore
