Did birth control kill your sex drive?

For those of you that voted YES, were you able to get it back by going off birth control? What else can one do to get it back?

I didn't remember feeling like I had a low sex drive while on the pill, but man when I came off....Lets just say I could not get enough lol. I think my hormones have finally leveled out a bit but those first months were intense haha

Well, I have nothing to compare, my dr prescribed me pills when I was virgin. But I have rather high sex drive now. It kills some other things in me though. My nerves for example

Took me 3-4 months to start feeling it; now at 5 months it's stronger than ever! Hard part is that I had been on it for 9 years and the hubby had gotten use to little sex drive so we're trying to rekindle thjngs :) good luck !

I stopped hormonal BC in December 2013, I say it took my body a good 9-10 months before feeling closer to normal. My libido is definitely not back at 100%, but waaaay better than before. It's tough when BC is effective because it simply makes you lack an interest in sex.

Yup completely zapped it, came off bc just after our honeymoon (wish I'd done it before now!) and within a week it was back with a vengeance :)

I hate, hate, hate birth control pills. My body cannot take them. My doctor gave me a very low dose and my body still couldn't handle them. I seemed to always be in a very bad mood. After four hours of taking the pill, I wasn't able to walk because I would get dizzy and legit feel like I was going to fall out on the floor. I never wanted sex. My husband and I eventually decided for me to just get off the pills. We use condoms and the pull out method. When God is ready for us to have a baby, we will have one.

It killed my sex drive and had some other bad effects on me. So I got off it and a couple days later I was back to normal. Never got on it again

I got off birth control and now my sex drive is back but I’m terrified of getting pregnant again. 😭
