First day of cycle?

When do you consider your cycle day one, or first day of your period?? Just wondering because I want my predictor to be as accurate as possible! I have considered usually my first day of actual flow, but maybe I should start as soon as I notice spotting? What do you do? Thanks ;)

Yeah, I've always considered the first day as the first day with red flow. But I had recorded spotting on Friday, then clicked start my period on Saturday and it changed the window to include Friday as my start date. So that's why I was wondering...

Day 1 is the first day of red flow. If you cont spotting you could mess up your chart and get your days wrong
