Wisdom teeth removal surgery.. Have you had it done? How did it go? I'm getting mine removed next month and I'm nervous. The doc said a slim chance of permed any jaw numbness could occur.. 😱

All of the risks they tell you is the simple fact that it's happened to someone, somewhere, at least one time. Just like you could never talk again after being intubated, but rarely people turn that down lol bad example but I used it solely to get the point across.

When my ex got his done he was put to sleep... When I got mine pulled out I was awake... because there's a history of relatives in my family going into comas after Minor surgeries (doctors think it's because we're all anemic) anyways, I was awake when I got mine done, first the needles hurt a little, then the gums go numb and the dentist pulls em out with pliers I guess you would call then, the one side went fine, then the anesthetic wore off a bit so he stuck the needle back in, then the tooth broke in half, probably the worse part because it felt so weird and then stitches, barely felt a thing, dentist said to just take tylenol or advil if I felt any pain after.

Drinking while having a numb mouth?  Hilarious, it mostly dribbles out.

I got mine out 5 days before thanksgiving and could eat the entire meal. Was groggy for a day but that's it!

I had all 4 of mine taken out at the same time. I have a really hard time with anesthesia, but so does everyone else in my family so other than that it was no biggie. You will definitely be hurting for a few days, but with good pain meds and following doctor's orders to avoid dry socket, you will be fine. There are risks with any medical procedure, talk to your doctor and express your concerns. They will have more answers for you.

I had the bottom two pulled out first. I felt a lot of pressure but went well no stitches and very little down time. Just had the top two pulled in July a week after my birthday. Went ok they just had to put more numbing meds in the one side before starting.
I ate soft foods for a week after and rinsed with warm salt water. Good luck hope it turns out ok

I was put to sleep to have them removed. Drank milkshakes and ate jello for a few days. I looked like a chipmunk with a mouth full of peanuts! Not a pretty sight! But all turned out fine.

I got all 4 of mine out as soon as they were starting to push up on my gums ..before the real pain started. They gave me laughing gas & numbed my mouth up real good , it took about an hour but it felt like 20mins since i was kinda high from the gas lol Be careful not to drink from straws , no solids only warm liquids , my face got soooo swollen from taking my pain meds & then having to puke because i wasn't eating good. It really sucked .. It look me about 2-3weeks to fully heal & not feel any sort or nerve pain .. Glad it's over with ... Good Luck !

I had emergency dental sergery to get mine out. I was tottaly freeked because I herd horror stories. It's not that bad. My face didn't sweel or brise. It did take alittle bit befor it felt normal, but don't worry, do what they tell you to do and you will be fine.
