39 too old to be a dad?

Is 39 too old to be a dad? My husband and I are 13.5 years apart and we are happily married. Right now I'm 20 and he's 33. We know we want 2 kids. We're TTC baby #1 and we are talking about time frames on TTC baby #2. He doesn't want to be an "old man" when our 2nd baby is in his teens, but I don't want to have another child so close to the 1st. My husband is in great health!
