Ovulation Help?

How many days past your AF do you start ovulation test?  New to this just wondering the best time?

I've read to subtract 18 from your average cycle. Mine is 28 days and to subtract 18 would be cycle day 10. So I start testing then and usually get a positive around day 14 or 15.

My kit came with instructions it said for my cycle length (34 days)to start 3 days after my cycle
