Worried that I can't get pregnant... Dumb?

I've been on BC since I was 18- im now 25. I've always let the boyfriends that I've had sex with come inside me. I've never had a pregnancy scare. Is it unrealistic of me to worry that maybe my body can't get pregnant when I start TTC?

Lol that is kinda unrealistic, it just means your birth control is working! If you hadn't been on bc this whole time you'd have reason to worry!

Every woman thinks that they won't be able to get pregnant. Getting pregnant is actually harder than it seems with so many "accidental" (and yes I put quotes because I don't believe that the majority of them are accidental - and by accidental I mean on birth control, using it properly without taking something that can make it faulty, and using condoms that don't break, and still get pregnant), so I wouldn't fret about it unless you have actively been trying with no success.

Thanks guys! I figured my fears were just unrealistic. I should really just be happy that my BC is working exactly like I want it to :) Hopefully, when the time is right, and I stop my BC nature will take its course when my body is ready.

I've never taken birth control because I am worried about fertility. I know I can get pregnant, but I have been using the pull out method for six years before we got married for six years.  Either he is really good at it or he's infertile... I do think about it often.

If you ever stopped taking your birth control every day you have a high risk of getting pregnant if you don't use any other method. But by the sound of it your birth control is working! Whenever you are thinking about having children It wouldn't hurt to get checked

At some point, everyone who wants to have a baby and hasn't yet worries about not being able to do so, especially if they've had sex multiple times with no scares. Most likely, your bc is working. If you want to conceive, most people do within 18 months of starting to try. After 18 months is when moat fertility specialists will see you.
